Petr Stanek joined Newsmatics in October 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer. In his position, he maintains and directs the daily operations of the business, including coordinating with human resources, legal, sales, marketing, accounting, and other departments. He previously worked as the marketing manager for Newsmatics’ EIN Presswire from 1999-2004 and then worked in various companies in the telemedicine, pharmaceutical, real estate, tech, and travel industries.

Petr witnessed Newsmatics’ grow from only four employees to more than 65 smart, reliable, and hard-working team members. He believes Newsmatics’ technologies are at the epicenter of preserving democracy by fighting against fake news.

Petr earned a Master of Business Administration from The Open University in the United Kingdom and Master of Laws from Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. He relocated from his hometown of Prague to Washington, D.C. in August 2023.
