Media Researcher (EU)
Who are we looking for?
Are you enthusiastic about news transparency and promoting good media practices? Are you studying journalism, social, or political sciences? Join our team as a Media Researcher. You will perform various media research tasks, such as researching different news publications and investigating their ownership, influence, and bias. You will also be tasked with finding interesting content for different regions and topics to be promoted on our websites.
Responsibilities:
- Researching new & existing media publications for our database
- Gathering information on publications’ ownership, funding, contact details, and more
- Uncovering media influence & bias
- Finding interesting content for our websites, such as videos, news tips, and links to leading journalists
Requirements:
- Availability to work 15-20 hours per week on your own device with a stable internet connection
- Strong proficiency in English
- An interest or experience in research
- Solid knowledge of the world of news and media
- Educational background in journalism, political sciences, or a related discipline is an advantage
- Independence, creativity, and attention to detail
